Description
Stumpy Gully Vineyard, Moorooduc, Mornington Peninsula
Situated at the beginning of he Mornington Wine Trail, Stumpy Gully Vineyard is a shining example of a true family owned and run winery. Originally a dairy farm, the property was purchased by the Zantvoort family with a view to growing citrus. Happily, Frank and Wendy Zantvoort decided on grapes instead and settled to the task of making wine. Stumpy Gully Vineyard was formally established in 1989 and the family hasn’t looked back since.
Now in the hands of the second generation, Stumpy Gully Vineyard continues to flourish. Matthew Zantvoort, along with his wife Elizabeth and their 3 daughters, is competently in control. Having grown up on the property, Matthew has done everything from planting to bottling. Today he is the winemaker and Stumpy Gully produces 11 varieties of wine across 4 distinct labels.
The range of wines include:
- Pinot Noir
- Chardonnay
